Don't our mothers of that generation always look so glamorous in those photographs. You must miss your mother a great deal, it was so recently that she died. My mother died in 2000, and I still miss her.
Your mother is really beautiful, lovely smile, sparkling eyes. I have a similar styled picture of my mother and she had a gardenia in her hair. When my son got married, about two years after she passed away, my daughter-in-law made a hair appointment for me at the shop where she was having her hair done. You can imagine my surprise, and tears when they put gardenias in her hair. It almost made it seem as though my mother were there, too.

Your mother was very beautiful. My mother is also gone and I know that void that you have, but all the wonderful memories they helped make for us are constant reminders of the love they had for us.
Candace -- I'm so sorry for your loss. I saw your comment on my blog and paged thru to find some of your past blog discussions about your mother -- she was beautiful. You are such a fabulous daughter to have taken such loving care of her. I know the burden you carried and the pain you must have felt as she learned to cope with ALS over those years. I'm sure you miss her, but perhaps you feel some peace knowing Heaven is now a brighter place with her there.

She was a beautiful woman - and it was so recently that she passed away. I'm sorry for your sadness, especially today.
My own Mom is 92 and still here, but totally unaware of much, so she's kinda 'gone',a little bit at a time.
