My OC is now a complete top without borders. I am thinking on the borders, which could take a day or two. I am first of all thinking if I want a small white border, or black, and if I want to incorporate my leftover little blocks in some way. For now, I'm just enjoying the finish of a step completed. For many, this is just a blip on their quilting experiences, but for me it was a challenge. Maybe, it will give me the desire to try some more, more difficult patterns. By the way. I checked the bird nest, and the babies are gone. I'm sorry that I couldn't get some better pictures, but I'm glad that they were able to fly away.

I really like the fabric underneath the OC for the borders.
Your OC looks great!!
You're nearly there, and it's looking good. I actually find putting the borders on quite difficult - they never seem to want to be square and fit properly.
Hi Candace, thank you for visiting my blog. Yes, the strippies are simple and fun to make. I think you have done a wonderful job with your Orange Crush. Push yourself a little with this one, and you'll have more confidence for the next one. I was thinking of a four patch on point for my middle border on my Orange Crush, but I'm not sure about the math. That's where I run into trouble... The rose in your little profile picture is absolutely gorgeous! Is this in your yard?
I love how it's turned out. I don't think it needs a small wite or black border though.
love and hugs xxx
Wow! Impressive. Love the oranges! You do great work.
Great job on the OC quilt. It looks good on the bed.
I love the picture of the canning jars at the top of your blog. I do alot of canning and love to collect the older jars.
Woo Hoo! Great job!
I'm working on the borders too... have to make more of those step 2 blocks.
Oooo...I like that blue fabric you have laying on top of the OC---plans to use that too?
Having completed my borders, I REALLY was impressed with how much the pieced border (blocks from step 2) added to the final quilt. I am very thankful I put in the time to make the extra #2 blocks. However, I have seen some OC's that used only the extra #2 blocks they had on hand---if I come across a pic, I'll send it to you via email. I think there is one on the Albums.....
Yes---here it is:

Helen from VA posted it....
Very creative way to use up the extra blocks, WITHOUT needing to put time in to make MORE #2's.
Congratulations! It looks great! :-)
Great job Candace! I enjoyed looking at the photos of your growing quilt top - as you added each row.
Candace, your OC is stunning!, black would really set the quilt off
Hugs julia
