Oh, Happy Day! My table finally arrived the first of the week and now it is together. My DH has been having a bad time the last 3 weeks and then last week-end he had a bad reaction to a new muscle relaxer. I mean, really bad. He could hardly walk, had to have help, above and beyond the walker that he has had for the past 3 weeks, and his thinking was all jumbled up. He thought that he needed to go to work and he has been retired for about ten years. He was very very depressed to the point of crying, which is not like him at all, in spite of his health problems he usually keeps fairly upbeat. Luckily, the worst hit Sunday and my daughter was able to help me and then Sunday evening when I finally didn't give him a choice and insisted on the emergency room, she came and then when they sent him home after some tests (said he was better off home since he is prone to getting an infection and home was safer) she and 3 of her grown children were there to help me get him home and settled. It was a bad night, but Monday morning my son came (in spite of pain from dental work) and he helped me all day. He and his father played a 6 hour game of chess, which goes to show that DH brain still wasn't over the effects, it usually takes them about 20 or 30 minutes, but DH was taking 40 minutes sometimes to decide and then he'd try something illegal. He has always been a very good chess player, so totally not himself. |

Sorry to hear that your hubby has been having a bad run - so glad your family could help and what a blessing your brother is! Thank goodness for family!
What a shame that Ernie has been so poorly, you must have been very worried, but thankful that you have such a supportive family to call on. Your sewing room is looking really well organised now, so that must have cheered you up.
I'm so sorry to hear about your DH. That must have been so scarey for you! I'm so glad your brother could come and help. He really did a lot of extra things. You are very lucky to have such a good brother to help you out. Where is you get your sewing table? I have been wanting to get one, so my sewing machine sits down into the table. I'm going to be working on organizing too. I just bought some of the comic book cardboards. Your grands are all so cute!
Can your brother come to my house next????? ;-)
All the best to your DH!
You ate a very brave girl - best wishes and keep you spirit up.
Hugs Lurline.
Hoping your hubby recovers soon from that bad medication. How awful to feel like that. And it's not easy for anyone around either, as I bet you have to be on your toes the whole time to care for him. Speedy recovery!
On more fun things.....your new table looks awesome! Yay! And your whole sewing area looks so good, too. Very organized! Yay for brothers who can do so much when called upon! That's a treasure!
And those grandbabies are the cutest ever! Sweet!!!!!
Wow - you and your husband have been going through such a difficult time. I am so glad that family was able to help you out with your husband. What a treasure your brother is!!! Your sewing room looks terrific and those kiddies --- adorable!
I am so thankful you had family close to help you. I am learning how difficult it is to be there caregiver. I hope the medication will be out of his system soon. It was very special to have your brother help you with so many things while he was there.
Which of the Sew Perfect tables to you purchase? I have been waiting to see how you like yours before I order one!!
I am so sorry for your DH. That is a worry. I do love your sewing area though. Very beautifully done. And of course, your grandbabies are angels.
Sorry to hear about Ernie's difficulties, Candace. Hopefully he will recover quickly from the med mishap. It is so wonderful that your brother could come and help. Family is everything, isn't it?! Your sewing space is really looking great. Your DGGs are adorable!
