Amy's BOM a Lot Late - Giveaway Win

Better late than never.  These are last years May blocks from Amy's BOM.  I am not going to do all the blocks at this time, but I am doing enough to make my version of Linda from Living4Quiltings pretty flimsy.
Block #2 "Follow the Leader"
Block #3 "Ohio Star"
Block #1 "Road to the White House"
My DGS moved into a new apartment, works at Publix, so he needs ironed dress shirts daily and he didn't have an iron.   I gave him mine which was pretty new, but I had never been really pleased with it because it didn't seem to be hot enough even when set to linen.  I got this non steam iron from Vermont Country Store and boy does it get hot.  I had to set it back to cotton.  I've only used it a few times, but I think I'm really going to like it.
And best of all, I won Anita from BedofRosesMQ's giveaway.   Bonnie's book is just as good as I expected with lots of information and gorgeous quilts.  Now I have all three, yea!  Thank you so much Anita for your generous gift.

Congratulations! Your blocks are looking great. I kept up until August or Sept. I need to pull them out and finish it up. Enjoy your new book.

Your blocks look wonderful! I have some UFO's to work on too! I like your new iron. No holes in the bottom for steam? I've heard that gives a very even heat. Let me know if you continue to like it, mine may give out soon, yikes!

Wow, Candace, your blocks look great! I love the colors you are using and yes, better late than never! Thanks for the shout out about my flimsy. I just tonight found some fabric for the backing and will be getting this quilted next. I'll show you the finished quilt soon. Congrats on winning this wonderful book. I had the pleasure of going to see Bonnie Hunter when she was in town and bought the book from her right then. I have all of her books and plan on making them all as soon as I can. I know you will enjoy this book, lots of great stuff in there.

Great blocks!
Congrats on being the winner of Bonnie's book!
That looks like a great iron. I like that it doesn't have any holes in the plate. Let us know if you enjoy it and how it holds up over time...I'm always looking for a good iron.
