Egg on My Face

Here I am back already, with egg on my face, and my hat in my hand. I was feeling overwhelmed with the holidays coming and life in general, and thought that I could unstress life a little by being on the fringes of blogging. I guess I thought that I could keep one foot in and still enjoy blogs and commenting, but not have mine to keep up with. It hasn't worked. I missed everyone and being part of the excitement of sharing and taking part.
Twice this week I got interesting packages, one from Hancock's of Paducah, and one from Thousands of Bolts, and I didn't even take pictures, as I had no one to share it with.
There is a saying in Florida that people get sand in their shoes and have to come back, and I guess that blogging is kind of that way, too. After taking part, it is hard to stop. You miss everyone too much.

Well welcome back! That is exactly why I finally started a blog. I have no one to share this love of mine with. No one around me in real life understands at all. Take care.

I think most people get like that every now and then - I know I do, at the moment I just can't seem to be enthusiastic enough about anything to blog about it, but I know I will soon. Welcome back though, it's good to know that you're feeling okay.

I'm so glad you are back. I understand completely that feeling of wanting to share your excitement with other people who will understand. Even though my husband tries to be supportive, he just doesn't get how happy I am when I get fabric goodies in the mail or manage to get some great blocks put together. Don't feel like you have to blog all the time -- it's supposed to be fun after all!

Yay, Candace!! So glad you are back.

Hey dear! I COMPLETELY will ditto what Angela (scraphappy) said. Don't feel like you need to blog all the time----and like Amanda said---we all get to the point of a little-less-than-enthusiastic for blogging.

We are all very glad to see your beautiful letters/words and will look forward to your updates and goodies ANYTIME you are willing and able to share :0)

AND----so happy you shared that yet another lady gets a bit "christmas childhood giddy" when some goodies come in the mail :0)

Oh, Happy day!!! One of the reasons I started MY blog was that Show and Tell at Quilt Guild was too short, and no one ever had a chance to see each other's quilts! I get MUCH more attention on my blog than at Guild, due to time constraints. Maybe you just needed a break. Many of 'us' take some time out, getting all funky, or cranky, or depressed, then something happens and we get back in the groove. No apologies needed. Glad to see you again.

I'm glad you are back. You were missed. There are no blog police that demand you post something every day. It is sort of like working for yourself - if you need a day off take one.(or two or three lol).

I haven't been able to keep up with my blog reading very well so didn't know you were planning to shut down your blog. I'm glad you decided not to, as I've enjoyed reading it in the past.

Candace, I was a lurker without a blog or account for over a year before I started my blog to see some private blogs! LOL I find that I enjoy everyone elses blogs more than I like writing in mine! LOL I tend to write in mine when I am excited as the kids just don't share the enthusiasm! LOL
Welcome back and remember, it is not your job to entertain us! :D LOL

Hi Candace,
I'm glad you came back. I haven't been able to keep up with blog reading so am a bit surprised, but I'm sooo happy that you've decided to continue. I agreed with all the other commenters that you don't have to blog all the time... just have fun.
Hugs,
Rhonda

I saw your comment on the Embroidery Treasures give-away post and thought I would pop in and say hello. You have a lovely blog and I have enjoyed looking through your entries.

I started my own blog to have an outlet to share exciting new acquisitions (fabric, patterns, notions, etc.) and discuss some of my sewing adventures. I don't have any sewing friends, and I thought a blog would be an outlet for doing just that. I hope you won't close your blog entirely. I've certainly enjoyed visiting!

Hello Candace, thank you for entering my giveaway and good luck.Funny thing, I was thinking of deleting my blog once the giveaway was over.I have found I spend my time on blog than actual sewing.DD made that comment the other day. After reading through your comments I realize moderation may be the key for me. Regards Lyn

Oh Candace, I'm so glad you're back! It is fun to have a network outside our house. I never have to feel alone. I'm glad I can still visit you.

Oh, welcome back! (I might have noticed sooner if Bloglines hadn't been having issues...see? I didn't take you off my feed list!)

Whatever the reason, I'm glad you've begun posting again. Stick with the BWO mindset and share what and when YOU want to.

Your comment about not taking a picture because you didn't have anyone to share it with was just too, too sad. (And too real, too!)

WB.
