Old Tobacco Road

Bonnie of Quiltville and Quiltvillechat has started another mystery 'Old Tobacco Road'. I plan to make one, but so far all I've done is choose some fabric. This time I'm going to do a little different from Bonnie's colors as I have been wanting to do a pink and brown quilt for awhile now. My scrappies will be the bottom 2 rows, and I am just hoping that there will be enough contrast, if not I'll learn to love it. I threw in a little bit of black as per Bonnie's suggestion, so we'll see. Her mysteries are always fun.

Great colors, Candace! They should go together very nicely. It will be fun to see the finished quilt.

Yup, yup....can't wait to see the pinks and browns!!!! In fact, I've even toyed with the idea that I might whip out two OTR's---one in the plaids that i've already started and one using the pink/brown FQ's I purchased this summer at 25% off.
HAPPY SEWING!

Lovely color scheme. I hope to do this mystery too also in a more controlled color scheme! Perhaps Browns and roses (some of my favorites)

Such pretty colors for your mystery quilt. Are you doing it as a true mystery, or are you going to "peek" ahead of time?

great color choices
I've saved the clues for another time- like probably after the holidays- too much to finish now. But tomorrow is murphy's wood soap and fine steel wool. Time to clean the dining room set.
YOur turning 12 is cute too:)
I have one that uses 8 fqs for a baby quilt I'm thinking of trying for future babies. But first I need to make one for another one of DD's friends that is expecting in early Nov....
