Turning Twelve Finished

Well....., I'm not proud, but it is finished, and I've read that finished is better than perfect, so it's lots better, lol. It is a pretty poor picture, but DH is napping so I just used my bed like usual, at least I changed the quilt from my pink rail fence to my pink Sumo Sudoku. It is ready for my dentist appointment tomorrow, and I just hope that they don't look too closely, the galloping horse scenerio would be best.

  2. Finished AND looks like you were able to plow through some stash, too :0) And remember the another saying...."A homemade quilt far surpasses a store-bought quilt any day!"

  4. Wow - it's just wonderful - sl flat and square, no puckers, etc. You did good! Congrats, and it's finished too. What a great stashbuster to boot.

  6. How wonderful to get it finished in time, and it looks good too, very colourful and cheerful. I've found that even quilts I've been critical of start to look great once I use them, and I can hardly see the puckers I was so aware of when I made it. so I'm sure that your will be so much appreciated and the 'quirks' barely noticed if at all.

  7. Looks great to me, Candace. I have that book and you're inspiring me to get it out and use it. Love that quote: "Finished is better than perfect." Will have to share it with my quilt group as we often talk about the galloping horse! I'll bet you don't examing your dentist's work very closely! What a nice gift you've made.

I have to tell you, I have my own tool box and I love it. I'm always needing something and I keep it in my sewing room.

  9. I think your quilt is fun. I know it would be real popular with the teenage girl crowd.
