Mini's, Handbags, Covers. Oh My!!

February Mini from Sew Can She, and sharing this post on her blog, Sew Can She.

Mini notebook covers for 3 by 5 inches.  Supposed to get the notebooks today from Amazon, sure hope they fit, or I'll be sad.

Mini's, Etc.

Saw this pattern on Pinterest, but I just tried to find it again to advise who posted it, and couldn't find the exact one.  By the way, I'm posting this to Sewcanshe's Show off Saturday, if you'd like to see more projects.
My first attempt at the January Mini Quilt from Sew Can She.
My second attempt.  This one looks more like the pattern and everyone else's.

I'm still not completely over my small items mood.  These are for my visiting teachers.

Key fobs that I made from scraps like the ones above them.  I just couldn't see throwing them away.

Another pencil roll, for my visiting teachers.

For my sister-in-law.

Microwave bowl cozies for my sis-in-law.  She said she's giving some to her daughter.

Two More Pouches and Lots of Microwave Bowl Cozies.

Sorry, terrible lighting, but this is a Pioneer Woman placemat that I made into a pouch after watching a video on YouTube, by Lorrie Nunemaker.  I have also shared this post on Sewcanshe's Show off Saturday.  She starts the whole thing off with a really pretty mini quilt, follow my link and take a look.
A little better lighting, but really cute in person.
I can see that getting these to stay put is not going to be easy.  After making my purple and green pouch I turned my obsessive nature to microwave bowl cozies.
It fits this bowl just fine.
And this one.
However, I wanted it to fit this bowl, as it is one of my favorites, and the one that my husband and I use the most often.  It did not fit.
Still have a few more pouches and such in me, this is one I made for me to tie my purple and green items together.  As I mentioned before, I like them together.
The smaller one that I made started out 10 1/2", this one is 15 1/2".
The large is great for this 10" pie plate.
Also, great for a large dinner plate, however, too big for my flanged soup bowl.
So...., on to a 12 1/2" start, and it is just right.
I told my granddaughter-in-law that I was making these, and she had seen them for the first time on Pinterest that same day, and was going to ask me if I had thought of making some.  After making my 3 sizes I asked her if she would like some, and she wanted some, but didn't want to ask.  These are the 7 that I made for their family, 1 each for the 3 kids, pink for my granddaughter, and the back right is alphabet pattern for the 2 boys.  The backs are different.  The dark and light blues are for the family.  They are reversible.
The other sides of the 3 kids cozies.
And, I thought that it would be nice if they each have their own bowls, so I picked some up, 3 cups with a lid, so hopefully not too big to hold smaller amounts for their smaller appetites.

Misc. Projects, Mini Quilts, Baby Quilt, Etc.

To my surprise, the monthly mini quilt continues this year at Sew Can She.

That's what the Sweet Flora Mini Quilt is supposed to look like, this is mine.  I mistaken thought that the 1 inch hexagons were 1/2 inch, and so I had lots of empty space.  I may make another, as my great-granddaughter got baptized this weekend, and I gave this one to her.

A young couple we know are having a baby boy any day, this and the burp cloths that I recently made are for them.

The back of the mini quilt.

For another younger great-granddaughter.  The pouch is leftover fleece on the outside and the tote bag is made from valentine tea towels that I got yesterday at the Dollar Store.  When she saw my daughter's journal cover etc., she wanted one, too.

My granddaughter requested a tote to use when she takes one of my young great-grandsons to day care.  I also shared my link on Sew Can She.  Lots of projects to look at and read about there.

More of the Same!

Burp cloths.  That is a little different.

I thought I'd use a ringed notebook in my purple cover, but the cover was too small.  Since I had already bought the notebook and fillings, I made myself a little bigger green one.  I really like green and purple together.

Mine and my friends pencil rolls and pouches.

More Journal Covers, Etc.

Little brother needed some, too.

Pencil roll for little brother.  Extra big slots for little fingers and big pencils.

I think they need tissue holders, too.

Mama needs some too, I added a purse, too.

For the kids, grandmother and mother (my daughter and granddaughter-in-law).

For my daughter, who loves red and butterflies.

For my friend, who used to be my visiting teacher from church.  I also made key fobs for my new visiting teachers.

For one of my favorite people, me.

My grownup granddaughter requested a smaller one, so hers is the same size as the girls.  I think I'm done now, at least for awhile.  I also added this to Sew Can She's, Show Off Saturday, there are lots more finishes and projects there.
